Challenge
A client needed a way to automatically process and store application files in the cloud while enriching spreadsheet data with applicant details. Manual file management and data entry were creating bottlenecks in their application processing workflow.
Every submission required staff to download attachments, add applicant information by hand, and re-upload the files to the correct location. The process was slow, repetitive, and prone to errors that delayed decision-making.
Solution
84EM developed a custom integration that automates the entire file upload and data enrichment workflow. The system automatically detects spreadsheet uploads, adds applicant information to each file before storing it in the cloud, and requires no changes to existing processes.
This eliminated manual data entry and file management tasks entirely.
Key Capabilities
- Automatic spreadsheet enrichment that detects uploaded spreadsheet files and prepends applicant information and submission metadata, so every file arrives in storage ready for immediate use.
- Per-form configuration allowing different storage paths and processing rules for each form, so multiple application types can run through the same system with different workflows.
- Pre-configured download templates that applicants can access directly, ensuring consistent file formatting before submission.
Results
The application processing workflow went from manual file handling for every submission to fully automated processing. Staff no longer need to download attachments, add applicant information, and re-upload files to the correct storage location.
Each uploaded spreadsheet now arrives in storage with complete applicant information already formatted and included. Staff can access enriched application data directly without cross-referencing form entries, which previously required switching between the form dashboard and storage to assemble a complete record.
The standardized download templates reduced submission formatting inconsistencies that had previously caused processing delays. Applicants start with the correct template, and the system handles the rest automatically.
