Challenge

An investment firm managing dozens of funds publishes a high volume of regulated content: fund pages, filings, investor communications, podcasts, and event listings, authored across product teams, investor relations, and media. Under a standard publishing setup, anyone with editing access could push that content live the moment it was written.

For a regulated investment manager, that gap is a real liability. A fund page published before the right person reviews it, or an investor communication that ships with an error, creates compliance exposure and puts investor trust on the line.

Solution

84EM built a structured, multi-stage approval process directly into the firm’s WordPress site. Instead of a simple draft-to-published jump, content can move through defined stages, pitched, assigned, in progress, under review, before it goes live.

Review authority is split by content area. Fund pages, investor-relations content, event listings, and media each have their own designated approver, so sign-off comes from someone who understands that specific product line.

The same protection extends to already-published pages. An edit to a live fund or investor page can be held as a pending revision until the designated approver signs off, instead of replacing the public version immediately. Authors and reviewers are notified by email as soon as something needs their attention.

Key Capabilities

  • Content-area-specific approvers. Fund pages, investor-relations content, events, and media each route to a designated reviewer, matching sign-off to whoever manages that area.
  • Multi-stage review path. Content can move through pitch, assignment, in-progress, and review stages before publication.
  • Protected live pages. Edits to already-published fund and investor pages can be held as pending revisions until an approver signs off, so a change can’t reach the public site unreviewed.
  • Automatic reviewer notifications. Authors and assigned approvers are emailed as soon as content needs their attention.
  • Consistent across content types. The same review structure covers fund pages, filings, tickers, and investor communications alike, with no separate process to maintain for each.

Results

The site carries more than 6,000 published documents across 54 funds, plus hundreds of podcast episodes and media assets, and dozens of investor events. The same review structure applies to all of it, regardless of type or volume.

Reviewer assignments span 6 distinct roles, each scoped to a different section of the site rather than one generalist account with access to everything.

Notification routing spans 38 configured workflows, each tied to a specific trigger, from fund and SICAV revisions to editorial comments on a page. A reviewer only hears about the content that’s actually theirs to review.
