Challenge
Liquid Stock, a financial services company, helps private-company shareholders access liquidity. Its marketing site was built in Elementor, a drag-and-drop page builder. Over time the site had grown slow and heavy under the page builder’s overhead, and its design had drifted as pages were added by different hands.
For a business asking prospects to trust it with equity and financial decisions, that first impression carried real weight. A slow, visually inconsistent site worked against the credibility Liquid Stock had earned everywhere else.
The maintenance burden compounded the problem. Routine content updates risked breaking a page’s layout, so changes that should have taken minutes waited on careful, developer-level attention. Liquid Stock’s team was boxed in by the very tool that was supposed to make editing easy.
Solution
84EM built the site for the digital agency Vested and their client Liquid Stock, rebuilt from scratch as a custom WordPress block theme with the page builder discarded entirely. A hand-built theme runs on standard WordPress with none of a page builder’s excess code or proprietary lock-in, and that is what drives the gains in speed, control, and long-term maintenance. Building bespoke block themes to replace page-builder sites is 84EM’s standard approach for exactly this reason.
The theme carries Vested’s design across every page, keeping color, typography, spacing, and layout consistent, so the site stays on-brand automatically and new pages inherit the same look without manual styling. Liquid Stock’s team edits copy, images, and pages directly, and the underlying structure holds no matter who makes the change.
The theme also gave the site purpose-built components the old setup lacked: dedicated blocks for Liquid Stock’s liquidity solutions, plus a custom modal that surfaces the site’s eligibility form on demand. Because they are part of the theme, Liquid Stock’s team can place them on any page and they render consistently without custom work.
Performance was engineered in from the start rather than patched on afterward. On mobile, the rebuilt site earns a perfect performance score, and the hand-built code carries none of the page-builder weight that slowed the original.
Key Capabilities
- A site-wide design system. Every page, and every page added later, stays visually consistent without manual styling.
- Editable content without layout risk. Liquid Stock’s team updates copy, images, and pages directly, and the structure holds.
- Reusable solution blocks. Dedicated theme components for Liquid Stock’s liquidity options that the team can place on any page and that render consistently site-wide.
- On-demand eligibility form. A custom modal built into the theme surfaces the form from any call-to-action, so prospects can start without leaving the page.
- Performance engineered from the ground up. The hand-built theme carries no page-builder overhead or third-party lock-in, and the site earns a perfect score for mobile performance.
Results
On mobile, the rebuilt site earns a perfect performance score. The hand-built theme carries none of the page-builder bulk that weighed down the original, so a financial services audience meets a first impression that matches Liquid Stock’s reputation instead of undercutting it.
Updates that once risked breaking a layout, or waited on a developer, now happen directly and safely, and the brand stays consistent on its own.
Prospective shareholders can now browse Liquid Stock’s liquidity options before they ever reach out. The people who do get in touch arrive better informed, which makes each conversation more productive for the sales team.
Because the site’s pages and forms are built on a repeatable, well-structured foundation, Liquid Stock can add new pages and campaigns quickly and predictably as its offerings grow, rather than rebuilding sections by hand each time.
