Challenge
A performing arts organization needed to integrate its ticketing and donations platform seamlessly into its WordPress website. The existing setup required visitors to navigate away from the main site to complete purchases, creating a disjointed user experience that affected conversion rates.
Conversion that began on the organization’s own site was completed on an unfamiliar platform. For a nonprofit arts organization, every friction point in the ticket and donation flow has a direct revenue consequence – a redirect that breaks the experience can mean an abandoned purchase.
Solution
84EM built a custom integration that embeds Spektrix ticketing and donation functionality directly within the WordPress site. Visitors can browse events, select seats, and complete purchases all within the organization’s branded environment, without ever being redirected to Spektrix.
Key Capabilities
- Embedded Spektrix workflow. The entire purchase process – event browsing, seat selection, and checkout – stays within the organization’s branded website rather than redirecting to Spektrix.
- Dual donation interface. Both one-time and recurring monthly contributions are supported with configurable amounts, maintaining consistent branding throughout the giving experience.
- Administrative controls. Donation amounts, membership tiers, and Spektrix configuration are managed directly from the WordPress dashboard.
- Real-time Spektrix event data. Staff see current event information in the WordPress admin dashboard without logging into Spektrix separately.
Results
The integration eliminated the disjointed experience of redirecting visitors to Spektrix for ticket purchases. The entire purchase flow now happens within the organization’s branded environment, removing the friction point that had been affecting conversion rates.
Donation and membership management moved from a separate Spektrix workflow to the organization’s own website. Supporters can make one-time or recurring contributions without leaving the site, reducing the drop-off that occurred when donors were redirected to external giving pages.
Administrative staff gained centralized control over donation configuration and real-time event data directly in WordPress. Tasks that previously required logging into Spektrix separately – checking event status, adjusting donation amounts, managing membership tiers – now happen in the same interface where the team manages website content.
