Data Protection & Security
Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security measures, including:
- Secure, encrypted communication channels
- Password-protected development environments
- Regular security audits and updates
- Least-privilege access controls
- Secure deletion of access credentials after project completion
- External vulnerability scanning
Information Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, share, rent, or disclose your personal information to third parties except:
- When required by law or legal process
- To protect our rights, property, or safety
- With your explicit consent for specific business purposes
White-Label Services
For agency clients using our white-label services, we maintain strict confidentiality and do not disclose the nature of our relationship or project details to end clients.
Third-Party Services
Hosting (Sevalla)
We host 84EM.com and our scheduling application (including its database of meeting records) on Sevalla, a subsidiary of Kinsta, which processes server logs (e.g., IP addresses, user agents, timestamps) to operate and secure the service. See Kinsta's Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.
Edge Security (Cloudflare)
We use Cloudflare (WAF, DDoS mitigation). Cloudflare may set strictly functional cookies and process technical data to provide these protections. See Cloudflare's Cookie Policy.
Voice, SMS & Video Meetings (Zoom)
We use Zoom Phone for voice calls and client SMS, and Zoom Meetings for video calls scheduled through calendar.84em.com (the meeting created in Zoom includes the invitee's name). Zoom processes phone numbers, call metadata, message content, and meeting details to provide the service. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. See Zoom's Privacy Statement.
Transactional Email (Brevo)
Scheduling emails (confirmations, reminders, cancellations, reschedules) are delivered through Brevo, which processes recipient names, email addresses, and message content. See Brevo's Privacy Policy.
Booking Calendar (Google, Zoom)
Meetings booked through calendar.84em.com are written to Google Calendar (invitee name, email, guests, and question answers appear in the event). Depending on the meeting type, a Google Meet or Zoom video link is generated. See Google's Privacy Policy and Zoom's Privacy Statement.
Analytics (Simple Analytics)
We use Simple Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Simple Analytics is a privacy-first service that does not collect IP addresses, use cookies, or track any personally identifiable information. All data is aggregated and anonymous. See Simple Analytics' Privacy Policy.
AI Tools
We use AI as assistive development tooling — similar to an editor or framework — to improve speed and quality. Current providers include Claude Code (Anthropic), Codex CLI (OpenAI), and GitHub Copilot. An engineer with 31 years of experience reviews AI-assisted output before delivery. AI tools do not produce client-facing deliverables autonomously.
We do not include client confidential information, personal data, or NDA-restricted material in AI prompts without approval. When client data is necessary and approved, we limit it to the minimum required.
Client Controls
- Opt out of AI usage on your project
- Require approval before any prompt contains client data
- Request our current AI tool inventory and data handling settings
Provider-side data handling depends on product tier and configuration; we select settings that favor data minimization. Our full AI Use Policy is available for review.
Cookies
84EM.com does not use cookies for tracking or analytics purposes. Any cookies present are strictly functional and provided by Cloudflare for security and performance optimization. Our scheduling site at calendar.84em.com uses functional browser storage only (to display your meeting confirmation and operate the admin area); it sets no tracking cookies or analytics identifiers.
International Transfers & DPAs
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or similar safeguards via our providers' data protection terms. We will enter into a Data Processing Addendum upon request.
Your Rights
You may have rights under applicable law to:
- Request access to your personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information, including scheduling records (subject to business record requirements)
- Opt out of future communications
